Short Description: C. Bruno OTS Bb Cornet
Long Description: Over the shoulder brass Bb cornet. Top-mounted Berliner Pumpen piston valves. Bell Section manufactured by C. Bruno, Paris, France circa 1855. This instrument is a documented Civil War horn owned by the Rock County Historical Society of Janesville, Wisconsin. It was put together from the valve section and tubing of an upright cornet and the bell of an alto trombone to make it into an over-the-shoulder instrument. Despite its strange appearance, it actually plays quite well. On Loan to HMMF from The Rock County Historical Society, Janesville, WI.
