Short Description: Cabinet Card of Band on a Porch

Long Description: Cabinet card of unidentified band on the porch of a large building - perhaps depot or hotel. Dressed in military style musician's frock coats and shakos with plumes. A shepherd's crook cornet, unidentified cornet, clarinet, bass drum and snare drum are visible. At least 10 musicians, with civilians and soldiers in background. On reverse: "G. W. Beal, Photographer, Post Office Building, No. Main Street, Natick". Late 3rd or early 4th quarter 19th century. Donated by Fred Benkovic, Brookfield, WI.
