Long Description: Half-tone print on cardstock. The left photograph, dated 1862, shows Griffin Lewis, seated beside a table holding a instrument in his left hand. Mr. Lewis is dressed in a frock coat, vest, white shirt w/striped cravat, trousers with stripe. The coat sleeve is decorated with braid. The instrument he is holding is an OTS tenor horn with rotary valves. The right photograph, dated 1917, shows Mr. Lewis in a civilian suit w/vest, white shirt and tie. He has 4 - 6 buttons and medals affixed to his coat. He is holding a bugle w/waterkey.
