Long Description: 1/9 plate ambrotype. Unidentified Federal soldier wearing frock coat and kepi. Holding an over-the-shoulder Eb bass horn with four rotary valves. Fourth valve lever played by left hand. Round shield on bell. Photographed in front of plain backdrop or wall. Probably 1860's. Still sealed in its case with gold mat.
