Long Description: Rope tension barrel style bass drum. Nominal Size: 22 x 22 with tack pattern. Shell of walnut with quarter-sawn oak counter hoops. Iron plate and rivets repairing break through one of the holes - probably done by a blacksmith. Label reads: John Pollard Manufacturer of DRUMS and...all...kinds...of Musical Instruments No. 209 Fulton St., New York, NY. With old or original stuffed leather beater. Early to mid 19th century.
